GOODS AND SERVICE TAX
The new Goods and Service Tax Law has been passed by the Indian Parliament, and all the Constituent States are also passing the respective State legislation one by one. The deadline of 1st July, 2017 seems to be achievable looking into the immense efforts being put into by the Government and the Public, Industry, and Traders altogether. GST has raised interest in the student community, legal fraternity, and all the stake holders as to how that is going to affect them.
We have observed that the forthcoming GST is going to generate employment, to the newer generation of legal, finance and accounting professionals, and also the existing employees at all stages of the supply chain of goods or services will be required to be ‘GST READY’.
